Practical Strategies

OUTREACH METHODS AND STRATEGIES

paul_apostleThough I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.  To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law.  To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law.  To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.  I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

Paul the Apostle, on how he went about saving the lost (1 Cor 9:19-23)

Awards

award_certificateAt the end of the Challenge valued awards will be given to teams who were most effective at winning souls and related activities.  There will also be awards for each of the above strategies/methods (eg. overall Hospital Witnessing Award, or the Jesus Film Showing Award).

Corporate, church and individual naming sponsors are sought for each of these individual awards, enabling high profiling of their organisations and ministries globally.  Contact us if you are interested.

The Unity of the Body

Teams have precious little time in any one area or town to assess the lay of the land sufficiently to create many of these opportunities by themselves.  Everyone in the body of Christ can play their part in this Challenge (we’re all on the same team, after all) by uniting to create witnessing opportunities for foreign teams visiting in our local areas.

linked_handsTherefore, local churches and individuals are encouraged to assist foreign teams achieve their goals in the Challenge by proactively organizing visits and invitations to the above target markets, in their towns, on behalf of these teams.  In the process setting up productive appointments and opportunities for visiting teams to effectively reach out and touch targeted people with the message of Jesus Christ.

What a wonderful testimony of the whole body of Christ by working together, performing our respective roles and functions like different parts of the body! (Matthew 5:16)

This will also encourage visiting teams (through advance offers of help publicized on the official Challenge web site) to come and witness in their local area.   In turn this will also benefit the participating teams of base churches by generating bonus points for their own teams through their churches’ helpful (and unselfish) efforts back home!

In addition to their involvement, highly prized awards will be given at the end of the Challenge to the most helpful and supportive church, by continent, as well as an overall worldwide award.  Providing many good reasons for everyone to become actively involved in this event!
