Financial sponsorship is a critical component of all individuals’ and teams’ planning arrangements to participate in the Challenge over such an extended period of time.

Through an online sponsorship module, participants will be provided with a convenient tool in the form of a ready-made and personalised web page (hosted on the official Challenge web site) to enable them to conduct their own promotional activities prior to embarking on the Challenge.  By referring prospective donors and supporters to their personal fundraising page, teams will be able to generate maximum exposure of their financial needs.  So they can raise the financial assistance they will need during the course of their travels.

Why sponsor?

The question often enters one's mind: why should I sponsor and help more needy people than I already am?

The answer is quite simply because these bold individuals and teams are putting aside all their comforts and conveniences to go out into the world - without any security or guarantees for their safety.  Taking the Gospel (Good News) to a dying world ON YOUR AND MY BEHALF, to the glory and praise of God.  The earlier testimony of the church by the apostle Paul describes how this works in terms of spiritual and material blessings at Romans 15:26-27.

How it works

Prospective sponsors will be presented with a range of interesting options (see below) to choose from to sponsor and bless participating teams.

Upon fulfilment of the criteria specified in the sponsor’s conditions, teams will be able to claim direct funding through the site’s e-commerce module.  This module will automatically debit sponsors for funds owed and due, and credit these funds directly to teams’ specified bank accounts (from which they can draw down, as required, anywhere overseas).

Sponsorship options available for prospective sponsors to choose from include:

• $/day travelled
• $/week travelled
• $ on completion of ¼, ½, ¾ phases and final completion of trip  (4 donations to be made in total)
• $/conversion (verifiable)
• $/conversion and church referral (discipleship)
• $/10 conversions bonus (only if either of $/conversion options above selected)
• $/100 conversions bonus (only if either of $/conversion options above selected)
• $/baptism (verifiable)
• $/personal update provided (through the official communications module)
