VOLUNTARY SERVING OPPORTUNITIES
You're invited!
Great news everyone - there is unlimited scope for passionate volunteers worldwide to get behind the scenes with us and help make the first ever Global Witnessing Challenge a resounding success next year.
Are you a pioneer at heart, and do you readily embrace new things and personal challenges as something exciting? Do you love the Lord and wish to see His kingdom extended here on the earth? Maybe you can't personally participate in the Challenge itself next year, but you still want to be involved in the grass roots development of this annual event. If you want to be a history-maker, you're definitely at the right place. This could be your perfect moment and opportunity, don't say you didn't know!
Think first...
At the bottom of this page is a table of vacant positions for volunteers who want to be counted in.
But before deciding WHETHER you want to become involved helping behind the scenes in this Challenge, we want you to first ask yourself WHY you should become involved.
Quite apart from the underlying motivation behind the Challenge itself - to reach and touch the lost throughout the world with the love of Christ, which is clearly and biblically mandated - you need to be really clear about why YOU would want to commit yourself and/or your organization in getting right behind the Challenge.
The right questions to ask of yourself:
- do you view seriously your responsibility to the Lord to wisely and fruitfully employ the skills and talents with which He has blessed you? (Luke 19:13-26)
- do you agree that the body of Christ is made up of many members, each with different gifts, with the express purpose of faithfully using these gifts to build up and serve the rest of the body? (Romans 12:4-11)
- the bible teaches us that our hearts are focused on where ever our treasures (our desires) are. Are your treasures in heaven, or on earth? (Matthew 6:19-21)
- do you think mainly of things temporal, physical and earthly, or do you set your mind on the things above, that are of spiritual and eternal significance? (Colossians 3:1-2)
- everyone desires to be blessed and honoured by the Lord. So which is better to do - to give (sacrificially) or be on the receiving end? How does this sit with you? (Acts 20:35)
What's your motivation?
The focus for people helping others, more often than not, is on "what's in it for them". While the result of serving others will be beneficial for both the person serving and the one receiving, our motivation as genuine Christians should flow directly out of our love for God and from a passionate desire to obey His commands, in order that He might be glorified. (2 Thessalonians 1:11-12; Colossians 3:17)
So we're asking you please not to think of this as doing us any special favours. You do this purely out of unselfish obedience and calling from God, as though doing it unto Him. Like we are. Because far better is His reward and His blessing of your input, than anything we could compensate you with! (Colossians 3:23-24; Jeremiah 17:10)
It is absolutely essential that this is cleared up, and that you agree with the basis of undertaking any work - right from the very start - so that there may be no misunderstandings or complacency later on down the track as to "WHY" and "FOR WHOM" you are contributing your time and effort. Think of God as being your ultimate "boss"; take your complaints and requests to Him!
Spend some time in honest reflection and prayer on the above points. If you still come to the conclusion that the Global Witnessing Challenge represents a God-given opportunity to willingly and unconditionally serve and bless others worldwide, then please read on... we really do want to hear from such people.
Voluntary Vacancies Available:All of the following (unpaid) assignments can be carried out from where ever you live in the world; at home or from your business. All you need is access to the internet. You do not need to relocate or to give up your regular day job in the process! It is anticipated that the following roles would be performed in your spare time, or any down time. Remember: do this as you would unto God Himself - with integrity, commitment and zeal, borne out of the right motivations. (1 Thessalonians 1:3) Going from this, "voluntary" does not mean "slack" effort either. You are offering your services on the basis of giving it nothing less than your best. If you can't freely commit to that, then please you shouldn't be reading any further. You can Volunteer at any time by completing the appropriate form |

So that we can honour God with all our finances. As per the previous point, we don't just want people who can "advise" us but people who can roll their sleeves up and "do")
13. Christian ministries, churches and organizations: you can help us significantly just by emailing your database or subscribers about next year's event, or publish this news in your next newsletter, or mention us in your next blog. Add our banner or web links to your web site for visitors to click on and follow to our site. Just be proactive for the Kingdom of God! These simple, practical examples show you don't have to spend money to be faithful with what God has given you.
14. Public celebrities and famous people: would you lend your name, image and vocal support to endorsing The Challenge? For no fee, of course! God made you into the person you turned out to be - why do you think He did that? That it was just an accident? Or was it not God's deliberate plan to bring glory to Himself through you? How will you respond to this opportunity to cover the Lord with honor and praise though your simple endorsement of this global work? Remember, our lives are but fleeting glimpses, so make the most of yours while you still can.
What to do next?
If you would love to volunteer for one of the above crucial assignments, or to volunteer for another totally different role not covered above, please complete and submit the following form. Time is of the essence on this project and all applicants will be considered, on merit, on a first-come-first-served basis. Incidentally, we are most willing to acknowledge your contribution mucking in behind the scenes with us. This we do in the form of a formal public thank you and referral through the "Acknowledgements" page of this web site (alternatively, we will respect your wishes not to be recognised publicly if you let us know). If yours is a business organization, we hope many new business leads may be generated for you as a result of this acknowledgement. |
