Biblical Mandate

The Challenge is first and foremost an obedient response of Jesus Christ’s followers all over the world to unite with one accord and bring the Good News of Salvation to those who are perishing. (Luke 19:10)
It provides the catalyst (vehicle) to motivate followers to discover and practise the oft-neglected gift of evangelism, and to become passionate about seeking out and saving the lost – in our lifetimes. What it proves is that anybody can be qualified to bring the Good News – the only qualities required are a deep love for the lost, co-operation with and faith in God. And a willingness to “let go”. (Mark 1:16-18)

Who is this for?
The Challenge has been creatively designed to provide the perfect avenue for the growing number of Christians in the pews who tire of all the words they hear, and who simply want to get practically involved in the harvest. The same people who may not know quite where or how to get started, but who just know they do want to make an eternal difference in their life times and become “history-makers”.
Motivations
Specifically, the principal motivations of the Challenge are as follows:
- Our love for Christ compels us to seek out the lost; if you don't have this you won't want "in"
- Honoring and obeying (in deed, not just in word) the Lord Jesus Christ’s last command to His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15)
- Not be willing to see any perish (John 10:28)
- But saving the lost from entering the fires of hell (2 Corinthians 5:10-11)
- Because the harvest is so great and the workers few, we are to expect the Lord’s faithfulness to fulfil His Word by calling and sending workers to go out into the harvest field; our reciprocal response is to be faithful and go and serve (Luke 10:2)
- To know every great thing that Christ has for us, the fulness of Christ in us (Philemon 1:6; Ephesians 3:19)
Making a startling announcement to all believers, in the process arresting the attention and imagination of the Christian world, synergising and uniting the worldwide church through a call to arms and an emphatic demonstration of real life action in witnessing!- Shaking the secular world with a sudden and significant influx of people who love the Lord descending down on to the highways and byways of the world (Matthew 22:9)
- Challenging faithful followers of Christ to “go” and serve, through providing limitless outlets and opportunities (the world!) to serve in
- Be a life-transforming experience for the participants so that their lives will never be the same again, forever sold out on sharing the love of God with others
- Uniting and challenging the local church to get more deliberately and directly involved in all background aspects of evangelism, witnessing and outreach, thereby defeating passivity and apathy. Watch as their congregations’ faith levels – and fruit – grow!
- Challenging individuals and churches which remain at home to become actively involved in the Challenge itself by serving in a myriad of different capacities, principally through:
- supporting their own member teams in the Challenge, and/or
- supporting foreign teams travelling through their local area as part of the Challenge
- By “giving” and investing of themselves and their resources in the eternal destiny of lost souls all over the globe, all direct and indirect participants will be blessed not only here on earth, but where it really counts! (Luke 12:33-40)
- Providing an innovative fund-raising mechanism to generate vital, ongoing financial support for 3 start-up Christian works, all of which are dedicated to reaching out and sharing God’s love with the world in practical ways (so that the fruit and the blessings continue to be felt long after the Challenge is over....)
Please note: The Challenge is not about earning the most bonus points, and it's not about winning awards. Souls count for all eternity, these other things don't.
May you be challenged with this thought:
"If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this."
- C. S. Lewis
