WITNESSING CHALLENGE RULES

1. Challenge must commence no sooner than 1 April 2010
2. Challenge can commence from any country (on relevant team’s Divisional list) and there are no specified routes or sequences to be followed
3. Challenge must be completed by noon, 31 August 2010 (up to 5 months available in total for the Challenge)
4. All teams must complete their Challenge by physically presenting themselves at the official “finish line” in Cape Town, South Africa
5. Teams to consist of 2, 18 years and older, persons only
6. No limits to number of teams entered per church, city or country
7. Each team to ideally take a digital video recorder with them (to earn extra bonus points)
8. Each team is to choose one of the 4 Divisional challenges offered.  Regardless of Division chosen, as a minimum all teams will be expected to visit each of the following 10 countries:    United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Brazil, Israel, Russia, India, China, Australia, South Africa
9. Minimum duration to be spent in each country as follows:
   1. Div. 1:  2 nights (42 countries, minimum duration of Challenge = 84 nights)
   2. Div. 2:  3 nights (31 countries, minimum duration of Challenge = 93 nights)
   3. Div. 3:  4 nights (21 countries, minimum duration of Challenge = 84 nights)
   4. Div. 4:  5 nights (10 countries, minimum duration of Challenge = 50 nights)
10. To qualify as a new conversion, each instance must be confirmed in writing by the saved individual concerned.  Physical copies of this evidence may be required to substantiate claims
11. To qualify for points of any nature, each team must submit the necessary recorded details online to the official Challenge web site (by due dates, where applicable).  No submissions will be counted if received after midnight, 31 August 2010 (S. Africa time)
12. To qualify for church (discipleship) referral bonus points, details must be verified online by the relevant local church authority involved, together with their full contact details
13. To qualify for the following extra bonus points, digital video evidence must be submitted online and must accompany any claims for points:
    1. new conversions
    2. baptisms
    3. bible distributions
    4. video clip reports (inc. most popular clips as voted by readers)
    5. volume conversions (singular outreach events)
    6. guest talks/appearances/presentations
    7. media outlet promotions
14. For teams to qualify for final prizes and awards, each team member must:
    1. visit each of the countries specified by their chosen Division, for the minimum periods specified
    2. provide acceptable physical proof of duration of all country visits
    3. provide supporting physical evidence of all achievements and points earned
    4. present themselves in person at the official finish line in Cape Town, South Africa, on or before noon, 31 August 2010 (S. Africa time)
    5. be willing to allow their testimonies, points summary and achievements, names, ages, base church, country of origin and photographs to be used for promotional purposes
15. Teams unable to substantiate bonus points claims with satisfactory supporting evidence, upon request, will have double the affected points deducted from their final tallies
16. Teams found to be fabricating reported results or falsifying supporting evidence will be stripped of all their bonus points and become ineligible to win any award or prize
17. All blogs and video clips submitted to the official Challenge web site may be retained and displayed there until 31 March 2011.  We also reserve the right to print and/or display selected blogs, video clips, testimonies and other submitted official evidence as part of our promotions activities for up to 5 years after the Challenge finish date

NOTE: it is NOT COMPULSORY to participate in The Challenge and HAVE TO work to earn bonus points at all.  This "fun and competitive" aspect of The Challenge is purely voluntary, and you do not have to comply with the bonus point rules above (with the exception of rules 1-6, 8 and 17 which apply regardless) if you are not interested in this part of the event.  However, in order to be eligible for any prize or award all the above rules will apply.  It is your choice.
